Are you afraid that someone peeks the screen when you enter your password on the ATM; or the ATM you are using has been tampered? Do you worry about your lost bank cards? If ATM can recognize your face, all those troubles will disappear.

The reporter met the world’s first embedded facial recognition device with “double lens”, which is one of Hanvon’s biometric products on the CIFTEE. This product (also known as “FACE ID”) is a hi-tech product, and will be installed in ATMs as the protector of ATMs.

According to a brief introduction from Hanvon director, Dongjian Xu, that “Face ID” can capture face features, such as eyes, nose and mouth, of a user via an external camera on an ATM. If the capturing data are matching with the user’s source data, then this user can get an access to the next procedures. “FACE ID” has an anti-camouflage function. If a user wears a respirator, sunglasses, or hat to operate an ATM, in that case the machine will not capture the correct face features from this user, then all options and trades will be cancelled by the ATM, so that suspects cannot withdraw any money from the owner under the camouflage. Except that, when the camera in ATMs is covered, or ATMs are hammered and destroyed, or security videos in ATMs are lost, “FACE ID” will trigger alarm automatically to notice relevant people to make actions in time. At present, Hanvon collaborates with Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPD Bank) and Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China (Ping An Group) to establish product solutions, and the final products will be into Beijing market next year.
